Analysis
Transmission spectra relative to a reference spectrum of the bare KBr window measured at 17K, simply converted to absorbance. Two weak 'difference bands' of H2O trapped in the KBr substrate appear at 3447 and 3487 cm-1 due to the temperature difference between sample and reference at 17K (temperature change of the width of these bands). Weak residual lines of CO2 and H2O gases in the purged spectrometer also appear in the 2300-2380, 1500-1900 and 3600-3900 cm-1 ranges, respectively.
