Comments
weak spectral slope below 1000 cm-1 seems real but could be questionable. n(15800cm-1)= 1.32 for CH4-I at 39K to be verified]

Analysis
Iterative inversion of n and k with full optical model of the thin film+substrate + Kramers-Kronig analysis over 580-4750cm-1 range (MIR) and n(15800cm-1)= 1.32 (F. Trotta thesis 1996) - k values < 1e-2 (above 2000 cm-1) are derived from the absorption coefficients of Grundy et al. 2002 in the limit of small k values, i.e., with k = alpha/(4*pi*nu). In very very weak minima between bands in the visible (11965-12260cm-1, 13115-13440 cm-1) k is set to 3e-9. n is smoothed outside CH4 bands to reduce noise. Interpolation in k and n is used to remove the weak CO2 and H2O residual gas band (2305-2385 and 3550-3820 cm-1).
