Finely crystallized and glassy particles of "hawaiite" volcanic rock. The magnetic (unaltered) <149 pm particles are more dense (2.15 ± 0.09 g/cm3) than the nonmagnetic (altered) fraction in the same size range (1.76 ± 0.03 g/cm3)
